Miles: Week 1

Miles has had quite an adventurous first week, I must say. I don't think we left the house with Camille for a few weeks unless we had to, so it has been nice to get up and out this time around. Having Grandma G around to provide an extra set of hands has definitely helped.
Our first outing which of course I forgot to get photo evidence of, was to a party at the beach for Oliver's 1st birthday. Camille had a blast playing in the sand and water with Keeley and Amelia while Miles snoozed away in the shade.
On Tuesday, we headed down to Juanita Beach Park to listen to the music in the park. It was quite the event. There was a band playing music for kids and the place was packed. We had no idea it was so popular. Camille wasn't totally into the music, so we met up with Anna & Oliver, Francie & Keeley and Sarah and the boys and played on the swings and in the water instead. I have to say, it was much more pleasant than fighting the crowds at the music. I think we'll be visiting the park on other days in the future.
Our last outing of Miles' first week was to the Doctor for his 1 week appointment. He passed all his checks with flying colors and is gaining weight like a champion!
His stats during week 1:

At birth: 9 lbs, 2 oz and 21 1/3 inches tall
Day 2, leaving the hospital: 8 lbs 12 oz
Day 3, at checkup: 8 lbs 13 oz (and ate 3 ounces at the visit!)
Day 7, at Doctor's office: 9 lbs 7 oz (95%) and 21 1/2 inches tall (90-95%) with head circumference of 14 1/2 '' (50-75%)

This kid knows how to pack on the pounds! He'll be out of his newborn clothes and diapers any day now.

In addition to all that excitement, when we got home from the doctor, his belly button came free, so we gave him his first bath. Camille was quite excited to help, and got to help wash baby's back and feet.
