5 months

Miles is 5 months now and sitting on his own! (For a few seconds when you prop him up anyway). Thank you bumbo chair for helping him learn to sit up! Camille was crawling before she was sitting up so we are thankful that part hasn't happened yet. And this will probably be the only milestone Miles will hit before his sister.
We've been doing some sleep training at our house since the past month has been a little rough. He was sleeping for 8-10 hours every night at 6 weeks just like his sister, then when we took a trip to San Jose in October he got all messed up and started waking up twice a night. By the time we headed to San Jose again in November, he was up to waking up 3 times a night and not napping in his crib. We decided it was about time for an intervention so we did some sleeping boot camp when we got back from San Jose. Thank goodness its been successful so far. 15 hours last night with a wake-up at 6:15. A mom could get used to that!

One great part about Nick working from home is that he is a morning person and gets up with the kids in the morning. Usually it is just Camille, but every once in a while both kids wake up before I'm ready to get out of bed and he takes them both. This particular morning I came in to Nick's office to see Miles and Camille involved in a serious game of Chutes and Ladders. I'm willing to bet I'll be seeing a lot of this in the years to come. 

This guy is always full of smiles.
