Our next stop after LA was Texas.
After crossing the border we headed south towards the Gulf and took a quick 10 minute ferry to Galveston Island.
The town is a big spring break destination with lots of beaches and a pier with lots of rides which we unfortunately couldn't participate in due to a 2 year old and a -3 month old in the belly. Instead we took to hitting up the hotel swimming pool every night after dinner.

From Galveston we headed north to Houston where Nick flew home and Camille and I spent the weekend with my best friend from high school Jessica who recently moved there.
We spent some time at a local park - swinging of course.
We saw the baby elephants at the Houston Zoo
We hoarded all the baby dolls at the Children's Museum
Went fishing at the Museum
And we looked for butterflies at the Science Center
