Annual Guerrettaz/Rodriguez/Swanston Weekend!

This year the Rodriguez family was kind enough to trade with us so that we could stay close to home since baby is due in a couple of weeks. We headed out to the canal and had quite the adventures. It's pretty fun watching all the kids grow up and realizing how fast they are all growing! The "big kids" even slept in the bunk house and didn't get into too much trouble.

Bunk house madness!

These two were quite the pair - they are 6 weeks apart and keep us on our toes!

Saturday was a beautiful day so we set out the slip and slide. The big kids had a blast, Paxton and Camille preferred watching.

Even the "big, big kids" went for a ride

A perfect day for some oyster collecting

Sten showing the kids how it's done - fresh oysters, a little chalula, a swig of beer.

They weren't impressed.

Sten also BBQ'd up some fresh ones while Nick fried some inside. It was quite the oyster feast!

Checking out the starfish at low tide.

Back to the house for some bubble fun.

We set up the sprinkler for the little ones who weren't impressed with the slip n slide. I think they still needed a little convincing.

Off on a boating adventure!

We headed down to the Alderbrook for dinner and sat outside on their patio. Luckily the wedding had finished by the time we got there, I'm not sure they would have appreciated 5 kiddos running through the lawn.

Some celebratory fireworks. The boys insisted on driving to the reservation to pick up some bombs for the night. The kids got to enjoy some sparklers on the deck.

And once the sun went down the big boys lit of some pretties in the sky.

The couch kiddos.

And in 2011:
